Every year the Healing Garden Health Expo brings together the cream of Kauai’s healers and
environmental warriors. This year, the event was held at the Kilohana
Plantation. Built in 1936, the mansion at Kilohana is the finest example of plantation era architecture in Hawaii.
The expo wasBulleted Listheld in the luau grounds.

The featured events included a unique Hawaiian lei competition with the categories of Edible, Aromatherapy and Recyclable.

There was also a local food
competition with a huge selection of local food
using Kauai grown ingredients.
Our table was right by the food vendors where we had the pleasure of sampling some of the finest of Kauai’s local food including Kauai made ice cream and vegetarian fare that was fantastic.

Garden Island Chocolate was right next door and They actually grow cacao and hand process their chocolate
locally. It is worth the $7.00 price tag
for a bar of pure goodness.

Many wonderful vendors including my friend and wise women Alia who offers a potpourri of formulations including Amazonian rain forest products, her own EsScents botanicals with essential oils as well as a high tech alkaline ionized water systems. I don’t know how she does it all!

The Lawai International center. One of the best places on the
planet. The home of the 88 shrines which is both a cultural and archaeological treasure that has been around for about 100 years.
Many people talk about energetic vortex’s. This place in
Lawai is a hidden spiritual oasis I first discovered with my father many years ago. At the time it was abandoned and in a state of
dis-repair and neglect. Since that time craftsman including
the renown wood worker Ray Nitta have re-furbished the temples and welcome visitors. It is a little known jewel on our island paradise. check them out at www.lawaicenter.org

There were many other wonderful vendors and the event was again a remarkable experience. We where there promoting our products and receiving wonderful feedback but something more. The true sense of community and cooperation for a healthy, bountiful existence on many levels. These events always attract an amazing assortment of people from every nook and cranny on Kauai. These are some of the most wonderful, loving, gracious and supportive people in the universe! Thanks Kauai!
